Hi! My name is Brennan Broome and I’m the new Raneytown cross-country affiliate. I’ll be blogging all things west coast, with a special emphasis on my hometown, Portland, Oregon.
A little bit about myself… I’m a Portland boy, born and raised, however, currently I am living in Greensboro, North Carolina where I work as the Documentarian for Elsewhere. Back in Portland, I am co-director/curator at RECESS, an alternative art and event space dedicated to nurturing emergent & experimental practices in contemporary art and music.
Blogging for Raneytown, I will be revisiting some of my favorite things coming out of the area I grew up in.
My first share will be one of my favorite artists in Portland right now, Onuinu (yes, pronounced On-You-In-You). Named one of the top-5 new musical acts in Portland by the Willamette Week, Onuinu puts out subdued, beat-heavy electronica with a fully visual live set.
Check him out on tour this summer with (ex)Portland superstars, Yacht.
